Look what an intersting press cutting I've found! For me it's quite unusual to see Marilyn not leaning out of the window (the image we've already got used to), but inside the house... and also to see so many fans outside!! Just one never imagines how many people there were behind the scenes while watching the ready movie...& I do love what she said to the photographer!! :)))

Andy Warhol original lithograph
"Marilyn Monroe I Love Your Kiss Forever Forever"

I haven't seen this piece by Warhol before! :) The idea is really nice! :)

This original classic Warhol print is from the famous "1 Cent Life" book/portfolio, published in 1964 by E.W. Kornfeld, in a limited edition of 2000. The lithography was executed by Maurice Beaudet, of Paris. 1 Cent Life was a monumental undertaking - a revolutionary Pop Art and poetry project organized by Walasse Ting and Sam Francis. Source

The artist of this piece was not listed on the site where I found it - as always if you know the name of the artist please comment here so that I may edit this entry.

I love the way this sketch is done! Marilyn is captured beautifully, you can really see the "Sugar" character come across. Even Daphne and Josephine look really accurate and silly hee hee

I thought this would be a good art piece to choose for this week since tonight I am actually off to see Some Like It Hot with the lovely [info]snowwhite22... the guest speaker is Tony Curtis! (I know most of us find Curtis quite sketchy, but I never pass up the opportunity to meet or hear from someone who worked with Marilyn!)

Of course I'll post all about it tomorrow ♥

Did you know that Marilyn wrote poetry? She said herself that it wasn't very good, and she only shared her poems with a few people, but I think they are wonderful ♥
